- Clogged air filters increase fuel consumption by restricting airflow to the engine and should be cleaned / replaced when necessary. Clogged air filters can increase fuel consumption by up to 10%. Click here for our SS Inductions pod filter cleaning instructions
- Keep your tyre pressure at recommended manufacturer levels. Keeping your tyres inflated is one of the easiest and most significant ways to save fuel.
- Air conditioners can use about 10 per cent extra fuel when operating. Wind down the windows at slower speeds.
- Poor alignment not only causes tires to wear out more quickly, but also forces your engine to work harder. Align your tires, and save up to 10% on fuel.
- Fuel consumption increases significantly over about 90 km/h. At 110 km/h your car uses up to 25 per cent more fuel than it would cruising at 90 km/h.
